Brill House is also named after a previous headmaster, Dr Johannes Brill, and houses grade 9, 10 and 11 boys. This hostel has been beautifully restored and is also a National Monument.
Brill House takes pride in honing the traditions and principles learnt during the early years in high school. Discipline and mutual respect for “brothers” and staff is entrenched. This is a tight-knit family which provides support, whether it be next to the sports field or a reassuring pat on the back to say, “All is not lost, hang in there”.
“You can buy a man’s time. You can buy his physical presence at a given place. You can even buy a measure of his skilled muscular motions per hour. But you cannot buy enthusiasm. You cannot buy loyalty. You cannot buy the devotion of hearts, minds or souls. You must earn these.”
